The International Breizhskiff Event!

Created in 2004, the France Open Skiff is the first event of the skiff season in France and one of the most friendly and friendly regattas on the breizhskiff.com calendar.

Since 2010, this regatta has become essential, enriched with a focus on coaching and training, so as to bring together the entire community of ski enthusiasts whether beginners or experienced.

The France Open Skiff brings together competitors of all levels from all over France and neighboring countries, mainly the Benelux, England, Germany and Switzerland. From the relentless racer who will find pleasure in taking advantage of the typical lake conditions, to the beginner skiff practitioner who will evolve in a safe environment, every light sailing enthusiast will find his interest in this beautiful event.

The “Lac du Der”

The largest artificial lake in France, the Der can give the impression of being a lost or even improbable place for the organization of a regatta. The reality is quite different. Easily accessible from all over France and neighbouring countries, the Der regatta allows the entire ski community to come together. Just for that, the lake of Der deserves the detour and guarantees the change of scenery for a long weekend away from the urban madness.

What better than a lake to start the season at a time when it is not always very hot and where at sea gales can sometimes limit the time of navigation?

In 19 editions, the France Open skiff is one of the events of the breizhskiff.com trophy where we made the most rounds in often varied conditions. Beyond boating, for the guides, the environment near the lake offers a whole range of activity, from the discovery of fauna and flora to tastings in the cellars of Champagne.
